In anticipation of the upcoming Sep 18th release of EA's new MMO Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, they have created a play online style game where players from all over can login to the site, create their character for this game and then compete with thousands of others to take over states and score points.  The highest ranked players are shown in a top 10 style board and EA has promised to give special rings in game to those players who score the highest in this Warhammer pass time they have created.

Having players sit aroudn playing a super dumbed down variation of the upcoming game to keep their interest and to maintain this MMO's name top of mind was a great marketing move, my hat is off to the team who thought this one up.
